Clarendon JBBP: May 2012

JBBPファミリーの皆さん、

Thank you everyone for making Community Arts and Science Day 2012 a huge success! This was a tremendous event that points to the many components that make up Clarendon. I would like to give appreciations to our wonderful parent community who organized and supported the 40+ workshops. I would also like to thank our growing list of community partners, and of course to our teachers and students who were outstanding in their support and participation. We continue to have parent and student alumni presence which all help to make this a very special day.

This Thursday Clarendon will be honored by the Japanese government. JBBP will be presented with a cherry blossom tree by the Consulate General of Japan at the front of the school. The presentation of the tree is one of the initiatives to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Japan’s gift of 3,000 cherry trees to Washington D.C. The Consulate General is presenting “friendship cherry trees” to Clarendon JBBP for promoting U.S.-Japan friendship and exchange. Clarendon students and families have benefited greatly through the ongoing relationship with the Japanese Consulate. We are especially grateful to the Consul General and his staff for their ongoing support.

PAC（保護者会）総会と年度末パーティ：５月１０日（木）

今年度最後の（そして一番楽しい）ミーティングにぜひご参加下さい。6:30-7:30pmまでミドルヤードでセカンドコミュニティも一緒にポットラックパーティをします。その後、それぞれのプログラムにわかれて今年度最後のミーティングをします。JBBP PACの総会は7:30-8:30、カフェテリアで行います。

Summer Baseball Camps through X-Level Sports Academy

Run by Gerald Reader, renowned Little League, All Star, and SFYBL coach, this program has served many Clarendon students over the years.

Bus Schedule Changes for Next Year

With funding for public education shrinking every year, SFUSD is among districts statewide that will be reducing yellow school bus transportation services. This impacts Clarendon families specifically--Clarendon will now be down to one bus route next school year (2012-13).
